Re: Domenico has Passed Away

Thank you girls for your kind prayers. Domenico was a very special person. Sending peace, comfort and love. ************************************* Wake up lovers, it is time to start the journey! We have seen enough of this world, it is time to see another. These two gardens may be beautiful but let us pass beyond them and go to the Gardener. Let us kiss the ground and flow like a river towards the ocean. Let us go from the valley of tears to the wedding feast, let us bring the colour of...

All birds that fly south for the winter are intelligent. They know when to leave, where the stops have to be made, and they return to their starting position each spring.

The Joy of the Snowflake If I were a snowflake, Drifting freely in the sky, I'd make sure of my direction- To fly, and fly, and fly- There is a direction for me on earth. I won't go to the lonely sequestered vale, I won't go to the foothill so quiet and cool, Nor shall I loiter sadly in a deserted street- I'll just fly, and fly, and fly- You see, I have my direction. Gracefully I shall dance in the sky Until I've spotted that pleasant place, Until she comes out to see the garden- I'll fly,...

Such beautiful messages! Winter's magic, oh how I miss it! Once upon a time ... Ice skating by Margherita Rueger Winter’s icy breath eagerly seeks mine to engulf my throat with its taste of youth. Hit with memories impatient to be savored I allow my mind to take seat in the front row to watch the movie, to let the emotions flow. My soul sails back in time and slips into my body in its season of Spring … The shimmering white field beckons me like a lover and seduces me to let go of all...

THE GENESIS OF BUTTERFLIES by: Victor Hugo (1802-1885) HE dawn is smiling on the dew that covers The tearful roses; lo, the little lovers That kiss the buds, and all the flutterings In jasmine bloom, and privet, of white wings, That go and come, and fly, and peep and hide, With muffled music, murmured far and wide. Ah, the Spring time, when we think of all the lays That dreamy lovers send to dreamy mays, Of the fond hearts within a billet bound, Of all the soft silk paper that pens wound,...

Summer By Christina Rossetti (1830-1894) Winter is cold-hearted, Spring is yea and nay, Autumn is a weathercock Blown every way. Summer days for me When every leaf is on its tree; When Robin’s not a beggar, And Jenny Wren’s a bride, And larks hang singing, singing, singing Over the wheat-fields wide, And anchored lilies ride, And the pendulum spider Swings from side to side; And blue-black beetles transact business, And gnats fly in a host, And furry caterpillars hasten That no time be lost...

TO AN ISLE IN THE WATER by: William Butler Yeats (1865-1939) SHY one, shy one, Shy one of my heart, She moves in the firelight Pensively apart. She carries in the dishes, And lays them in a row. To an isle in the water With her would I go. She carries in the candles, And lights the curtained room, Shy in the doorway And shy in the gloom; And shy as a rabbit, Helpful and shy. To an isle in the water With her would I fly.

Thank you for the beautiful post. I can't believe that fall is here already. Where did the time fly? I picked some pots of Chrysanthemums also on the weekend and put them in front of my house. I planted some in the garden as well. They will be lovely until the frost, and maybe with some luck they will come back next year. Love, Sue

Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down. Don’t dance so fast. Time is short. The music won’t last. Do you run through each day On the fly? When you ask How are you? Do you hear the reply? When the day is done Do you lie in your bed With the next hundred chores Running through your head? You’d better slow down Don’t dance so fast.

Autumn Birds by John Clare The wild duck startles like a sudden thought, And heron slow as if it might be caught. The flopping crows on weary wings go by And grey beard jackdaws noising as they fly. The crowds of starnels whizz and hurry by, And darken like a clod the evening sky. The larks like thunder rise and suthy round, Then drop and nestle in the stubble ground. The wild swan hurries hight and noises loud With white neck peering to the evening clowd. The weary rooks to distant woods...

The Spring By Thomas Carew Now that the winter's gone, the earth hath lost Her snow-white robes, and now no more the frost Candies the grass, or casts an icy cream Upon the silver lake or crystal stream; But the warm sun thaws the benumbed earth, And makes it tender; gives a sacred birth To the dead swallow; wakes in hollow tree The drowsy cuckoo, and the humble-bee. Now do a choir of chirping minstrels bring In triumph to the world the youthful Spring. The valleys, hills, and woods in rich...

Re: More About Hummingbirds

I still like this and the other hummingbird post. Some facts about hummingbirds: They are small and colourful with iridescent feathers. They flap their wings about 80 times per second, and this makes a humming noise. They can fly right, left, up down, backwards, and even upside down. They can also hover by flapping their wings in a figure 8 pattern. Their bill is long and tapered so they can get nectar from the center of long, tubular flowers. Hummingbirds use their feet for perching only,...

Autumn John Clare (from The Village Minstrel , 1821) The summer-flower has run to seed, And yellow is the woodland bough; And every leaf of bush and weed Is tipt with autumn’s pencil now. And I do love the varied hue, And I do love the browning plain; And I do love each scene to view, That’s mark’d with beauties of her reign. The woodbine-trees red berries bear, That clustering hang upon the bower; While, fondly lingering here and there, Peeps out a dwindling sickly flower. The trees’ gay...

Your touch so soft Your touch so soft, like the breeze caressing the tender new grass. In response I arch like a rainbow holding you in my coloured strings. We listen to the Earth as she sighs, in quiet pleasure to the song of our souls. The stars hear too, and they claim us, for we belong into their radiance. Once airborne, we are drawn like magnets into ethereal splendour. We fly, we dance, we soar, in love. Deep wonder reflects in our eyes. Your touch so soft …. Love, Margherita

Of course all the technology in the world still works with the same musical scales of long musical traditions, and many of the timbres of electronic sounds are borrowed from classical musical instruments. There are more than a hundred and a quarter midi sounds and all can be modulated to created unique signals. There is a good bit of mathematics and understanding wave forms to grasp the concepts of how an audio signal works. No investment in equipment can give...

Fro Nature By Emily Dickinson SHE sweeps with many-colored brooms, And leaves the shreds behind; Oh, housewife in the evening west, Come back, and dust the pond! You dropped a purple ravelling in, 5 You dropped an amber thread; And now you ’ve littered all the East With duds of emerald! And still she plies her spotted brooms, And still the aprons fly, 10 Till brooms fade softly into stars— And then I come away.
