Gnome felt misunderstood
There was a little Gnome
It had a little home
You ask me did it roam?
Well only in this poem!
It said it’s name was Pat
It was quite fine with that
You ask me was it fat?
Well compared to a gnat!
It had a friend named Nancy
Whom Gnome thought was quite fancy
She seemed a little dancy
So Gnome was feeling prancy
Gnome took her to a club
And tried the shoulder rub
Gnome must have made a flub
She told Gnome take a tub!
Gnome went in to the City
Gnome thought the buildings pretty
The streets were aweful gritty
And people’s moods quite flitty
It rushed back to the wood
Like any good Gnome should
Though City was quite good
Gnome felt misunderstood
