Tree resin captured the past, 100 million years ago.
Scientists found an amazing prehistoric fossil of a spider about to devour a spider caught in its web.
This preserved event took place in the Hukawng Valley of Mayanmar in the early Cretaceous period between 97-110 million years ago, at a time when almost certainly dinosaurs were roaming nearby.

The wasp was watching the spider just as it was about to be attacked, when tree resin flowed over and captured both of them.
