Grandma
Time has passed and too much has changed
Still missing you...dreaming of your face and warm embrace
while I patiently wait.
Needing your comfort even when times are good.
I am constantly misunderstood
No one's love hits deeper than yours could.
The obscurity of hope and a brighter day
Wishing I could hear you say
"It'll be okay, just pray and He will guide us His way."
You deserve lifetimes of peace thriving in God's keep
Endless retreats for all your defeats.
Though your love cannot be felt by substance
I know you've grown within my exsistence
Your soul will carry me
even when my feet are resistant
...because I know one day I will be by your side.
I will wait Grandma...
my patience began the day you died.

Dear Friends,
This poem was written by my Neice. She was one of the closest to my Mom. This honour and expression of love and longing was composed for the 8th Anniversary of my Mom's passing, May 20th.
