Welcome! These pages are dedicated to the practice and teaching of Tai Chi Chuan (Taiji) and qigong.
These arts have been passions of mine for over 30 years now and i take great joy in sharing my small knowledge with anyone that is interested in them. To me, taiji (and qigong- pronounced; 'chee gong') are paths and tools we can employ for healing, strengthening, focusing and bringing our lives into a more balanced and harmonious state of being. Taiji was originally an art of self defense, but over the generations it has evolved into a very powerful vehicle for spiritual awakening. It still contains the roots of the martial arts, of course, but it is in a league of it's own as a multi-faceted system that has captured the hearts of hundreds of millions of practicioners from Boston to Bankok, for many generations.
Also known as a form of 'moving meditation', Taiji is a wonderful bridge that allows one to transfer the benefits of meditation from the quiet, still place within, to the busy, hectic world that we move and flow through today. Never before, in human history, has this art been so valuable. Life gets more and more frantic, it seems, as the years pass by. Dis-ease runs rampant through the ranks of mankind. Stress levels have never been higher. From economic woes, pollution and the diseases that come from it, war, terrorism and all manner of madness seems to be consuming the planet, or at least, we humans that live on the planet. Taiji offers an incredibly effective aid to finding and maintaining one's center.
