Wonderful stuff. They say he asked too many questions and that was why he was presented with the choice of naming his poison or ostracism which seems like it may have been a better choice.

Allegedly poison hemlock is one of the gentler poisons. I wouldn't know except that it looks a lot like Queen Anne's Lace (which actually has more smaller flowers) or Yarrow and it grows up in the wilds of Tilden up at the top of Vollmer Peak in Berkeley right next to the fennel.

Good idea not to mistake them, but hemlock is probably a better way to go here than to jump off the Golden Gate.

It also grows here on my own hillside - right out of the periwinkle. I don't have any fennel, but you don't have to walk far to find that and lots of Blackberries that will be ripe in July.

I'm a big fan of Socrates. I liked Ben too!Ben's first hit was Willard.
Why couldn't Michael Jackson have written a song for Socrates? Wasn't he the white one?

I think that was a different Socrates, but somehow I remember that Socrates and Ernest Borgnine didn't get along well.

Am I asking too many questions? I hope not.
