Picking up
the broken pieces
of my heart…
Examining each one
to see where
I went wrong.
Wondering if the loss,
the pain,
the cost
is too high.
What do we lose
of ourselves
in trusting another?
At what point
do we say,
“Enough”?
Ahhh…but
at what point
do we realize
that this is
The path
of Truth...
The path
of enlightenment...
The path...
that leads to
the total fulfillment
of every dream.
For to love
without trust
Is to breathe
without air.
To know
in our heart
That all love,
even lost,
Is salvation.
