Oh good! You will be Rue-d.. he he..

It opens the third eye, dispells black magic, protects the space.. It is called:

Yerba de Gracia = The Herb of Grace

And I'll tell you.. it CAN bring problems out! This means don't do it before going to work where you'll say "hey you all are trying to do ___ to me!" Don't start up conflicts you don't need!

Try it first (few times) at home, alone, ready to sleep if you need to - many people it just puts them out, they sleep peacefully - don't try it before some interaction with others, try it when you can be peaceful and find resolutions within your self.

It is an excellent stomachtic - good for the tummy, great for headaches, RUTIN, what is in it, is very healing - a stimulant AND relaxant??? It is an ememnagog, helps womens periods - also supposed to be an abortive - not for preggos! (RU486 made of it?)

Also called "Garden Rue" or "Bitter Rue" it has rounded leaves and little yellow flowers. Very strong stalk and very fragrant! Everyone is effected differently:

Some people just loooove the smell! Others are repelled by it?!? - maybe they have some black magic, eh?

I have had and have live rue, and when you have that it is really magical feeling! Great! I generally get it from the herb store, and AFTER boiling the water, I put it in the water and steep as long as possible.. well hey QueenSef, I often just eat it down!

There is a myth "don't boil Rue!" but indigenious grand mothers boil it down to a paste then bathe in it! In Mexican restaurants sometimes you'll see a stalk in a glass of water: it keep the place peaceful.

In Spanish: Ruda, Yerba de Gracia

I'm sure it will find you peaceful.. I mean you fill find it peaceful.. he he..

Let me know how it is, and if you get your own living plant!

Love life n light, Teo Wink

ps any of you with the beautiful pictures got any Rue pictures you can upload? tanx!

Thank you Teo,
for all the valuable info.
Thank you Margherita for the picture.

I have a plant of Rue at my cottage,
I had it for about five years and just found out what it is. No wonder it was my favorite herb all the time.

I am off to work now, just in time to brew
a healing pot of rue.

Love, Inda

Wow, Teo, Thanks! I have been drinking the tea for 3 days now and LOVE it! I just did it the way it felt right to do, and it was/is great!

My notes from the first time are:

Tongue numbness; reading a book felt I could read the entire paragraph at once and understand it; mild head pressure on forehead and behind eyes; Top of head/crown chakra vibrating, actually itchy sensation too; saw myself vividly in a past life as a male warrior, drawing my bow, could smell the leather; Alert, yet relaxed; Losts of deep breaths.

I also have had amazing dreams each night. I've mainly noticed a deep calmness and peacefulness from it so far. I love the smell, did when I first opened the bag. It tasted bitter the first couple of times I drank it, but it doesn't any more.

I'm so glad you put the picture in here, Margureta, thanks! I didn't know what it looked like, except cut up in the bag Smile I drink it twice a day, a full cup. I haven't eaten it down yet Smile I'd like to come in and share experiences with it. Any time anyone has any experiences with it, I'd love to read them too. Thanks again! (Oh, also it seems almost like a natural diuretic too, as my stomach seems flatter and like I've released excess water from drinking it?)
Hey Teo and All... I just started my period, and I have had NO cramps this time! I usually have them, so do you think the tea is helping that too?

One cool thing I've noticed.. is that it has a note on my bag that says that if you drink this it makes you more sensitive to exposure to sun... so when I went to the pool the other day I didn't put on sunscreen and I got burned some.. but the interesting thing is.. I got burned only in very specific areas.. which makes me think it has something to do with energy blockages in those areas, and correlates with our chakras. I'll try that out again when I return from Alaska, as I won't be taking the tea with me when I go. Talk with you soon!
Hey Sylvie, Here is a copied and pasted post from another board of where I found the tea...

Hey Teo and All! Okay, I searched FOREVER, and found a link to buy rue herb online and they tell you to put about 1/2 teaspoon in hot water, is that what you do, Teo? Here are the links:
The first one tells about the herb:

http://botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/r/rue---20.html

This is how to order:

http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/bulkherb/r.php

hope the links come through okay on here. I'll miss it on my trip, but don't feel like messing with it while we're gone. I'll be back to it soon! Smile (BTW, I don't do 1/2 teaspoon in water, I do about 1 1/2 teaspoon in water)
Oh QueenSef I am so pleased!!! I have a friend who has miserable cramps, I've been telling her to try it..

That is one of it's uses, it is an "ememnagog" or something.

Queenie, I would say to someone trying it for the first time try just 1/2 spoon in water, they say don't boil it so after the water boils put it in. I, like you, use more because I really enjoy it's effects! After the .. dozen years or so, I feel it is deep in me and I have many of those effects now naturally! Often now I'll just put some in my mouth and swallow it. In the old days I used to smoke it!

I reeeeeally believe in Yerba de Gracia and it's magical healing. Outside a favorite Mexican Restaurant they have a big plant! I often take a stalk with me, I love the smell and vibe.

Sylvie, a plant store might have it - then you can grow your own, or you can buy it in an herb store. "Garden Rue" "Bitter Rue" sometimes it is called. Now you've seen the picture - it has little yellow flowers, and rounded leaves - and is pungent!

Oh oh Rue,

you make everything true,

and sharing you,

is a dream come true!

Healthy happy tea bags to all, Teo Wink Wink

You can't force peace, only show it.
Hello! I just learned of Rue tea last night while (don't laugh) reading a Nora Roberts Romance. Sounds like interesting stuff, this. Where do most of you who grow this live? I'm in snow country in the mountains of Idaho. Above 5000'. How does it mix w/ Anti-depressants and Blood pressure meds? Suffering from a MAJOR case of Cabin Fever & thought this might help. Tips?
Hi Rocky, welcome!
I live in snow country Canada.(Toronto)
The plant is a perennial and comes back in the garden in spring.
I take cuttings in the fall, put them in water and they will root. Then I just plant them in a pot and keep them on my windowsill over winter. This way I have Rue all year round. In the summer I just plant the stuff in the pot into the garden and take new cuttings in the fall.
Hope this helps.

Inda
