May you find yourself in the world…and may you enjoy the company!
Dear Friends,

Australia has had devastating fires that have claimed the lives of many individuals.

Please join me in prayer for the fires to be completely under control, for the weather to get cooler and for all the infortunate victims.

Love,
Sue

There is one little bright spot in all this disaster:

Deadly Australian Wildfires

Searing temperatures and wind blasts created a firestorm that swept across a swath of the country's Victoria state, where at least 750 homes were destroyed and all of the victims died.

Joining in prayer for all the victims of the fires in Australia.

May the fires be totally under control and may the affected individuals find shelter, food, clothing, comfort, love and peace.

I have a cousin and some very good friends living in Australia and they told me that the situation there was very tragic.

May the skies open and send some gentle healing rain.

More than 1800 houses have been destroyed in forest fires in Australia. That is twice as many as originally estimated. The death tolls remains at 181.

This is truly very sad news, and a disaster that words cannot even begin to explain.

Joining in prayer for all the victims and their families. May the climate and the lives of the affected beings return to normal. May they all find peace and hope.

Love,
yoko

Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

Things are looking better as far as the weather is concerned, but there will remain a lot of sorrow for a long time to come, but that will eventually become more bearable.

and the darkness has not overcome it."

From the Metro newspaper, Feb.24, 2009

Australians flee fire. One house was destroyed in a Melbourne suburb, and at least 2 new fires broke out in southern Victoria state where high temperatures and strong, gusty winds blew the fires first one way and then another.
Another fire burning for more than a week, flared and sent embers raining on Melbourne.

The February 7 wildfires that swept Victoria claimed at least 209 lives, destroyed 1,800 homes, and displaced more than 7,500 people.

Continuing to pray that the fires will stop in Australia, and that people will be able to continue with their normal lives.

Praying for the families, and loved ones of the dead victims.
Sending comfort and peace.

Love,
Sue
