You will find some fun and healthy discussion in the Healthy Lifestyles and Know Yourself circles here, and folks will be happy to "discussion" with you about things like yoga practices, healthy foods and substitutes and such.
Forgive me, but I will "jump right in" to some of what you said here. It sounds like you are at a kind of crossroads or turning point or "problem or opportunity" type of phase in your life. Some of your health issues will keep you from doing some things you want to do, but if you turn it around, you could say that you are now forced to do some of the things that you want to eh? Doggie shrink sounds like the neatest goal I've heard in a while!
That will probably require a bunch of book reading, preparing transcripts and edumicational paperwork that well, maybe now you have the "time" to do eh?
You will find supportive people here in Givnology, and also there is the link "Boardroom" where some sites are listed with wellness, health and nutrition, and positive soul friends just like us here - don't disappear though!
I'm just letting you know that Givnology is Arts & Wellness, and you'll find a lot of healthy living stuff all around here! 
You might want to put a prayer in the prayer circle for support in your being disciplined, and or your health issues, and some specific questions about health and yoga in those circles.
