Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900-1944)was born in Lyons France. He wrote his well known book "The Little Prince" in the United States, while in exile from occupied France. Saint- Exupery disappeared in 1944 while flying a reconnaissance mission for France over the Mediterranean. He wrote many other books that have become world classics.
