I no longer have a pet, but I like dogs. Whenever I see someone walking a dog, and no matter how grumpy they look, I always tell them "nice dog", and immediately there whole being lightens up, and they say, "yes, isn't he/she." There is a total personality change ,and a much happier expression.

The owners get the same happy expression.
