May you find yourself in the world…and may you enjoy the company!

Far away from the Sea ...

Tears rushed forth
as if I had to cry myself dry
in aching loneliness.
My pounding heart
played a sad tune,
as a single drummer
it echoed the world’s pain.
A soft moan rose
from deep within,
growing louder
with every breath.
Upon this extended sound
of uncontainable sorrow
I raised my arms
high towards the sky
in ardent prayer.

Far away from the Sea …

Standing in silence
with my heart wide open
I listened for an answer
from Above.
It came from within.
The whale’s song!
Channeled
through the depth of the Sea,
it expanded
like an overwhelming caress,
making me shiver
in an all-encompassing
awareness.
The sound I captured,
the unmistakable roar
of my friend the whale,
touched me to the core,
connecting my soul
to the One Spirit Divine
dancing across all life.
The whale’s song
conveyed the universal pain,
it carried the voice
of human misery and longing
higher and higher,
until its echoes
pierced the Immutable,
the One Who goes
by many names,
unleashing the power
of cosmic compassion …
and Love,
and Love.

Far away from the Sea,
the whale’s song
flooded my whole being
and mingled with my tears.
As One we reached out.
And the answer
was Love.
The answer was Love!

This is not pure imagination, I really perceived the whale's song within my chest.

I dedicate this poem to dear Angela, for she has introduced me to the beautiful song of the whales ...

I am moved to tears Mar...you have captured some of my feelings since my Dad has passed on to his next journey. Still, it seems like a dream, I am weaving in and out of. I miss him in such a immeasurable magnitude...it is fortunate for me that the pain comes to me in pieces at a time. The Spirit of his ways will always remain in my heart and I am glad he is no longer in pain.

At a family gathering on Sunday, I printed out this beautiful poem of yours and it was read by my Nephew, Rishi. I felt a bit emotional to read it. His reading of it was beautiful...as the words.

Thank you dear friend for thinking of me.

This year, I will be starting a hugh project of compiling information and stories to write into a book about my Dad. Certainly, some poems, thoughts and prayers from the Chopra Friends will be added.

God Bless...and thank you Mar.

Angela
Thank you from my heart dear Sylvie, dear Inda - and WELCOME BACK! -, dear Angela and dear Sue.

Dearest Angela, I read your words and I am deeply touched by the overwhelming emotions you are experiencing for the transition of your dear Dad. Undoubtedly your relationship of father/daughter was an exquisite, special one. The more we love the more we hurt, even though we know that the connection continues on another level.
Thank you for sharing the poem at your family gathering, that was a great honour.

That is a wonderful project you are realizing. It will be gratifying to honour your Dad by writing his biography. He will collaborate from Above, I do not doubt and the results will represent a beautiful gift for you and for the world.
Hugs.

Sending much love to all.

We all feel a whale of a loss for Angela's father leaving the plane-t. Rest in peace dear magical drummer Cyril. 2Hearts Angel

This poem has a whale's weight dear dpm.. you know? I think the beautiful Hawaiian slide guitar sounds like a whale's sound. They would probably hula dance to it, in their whaley way.. Hula Hula

Condolences dear Angela. Hadn't your father made the biggest steel pan drum instrument on earth? His playing was probably the only sensative enough to make it sound so beautiful... I fondly remember playing music with him in 2003. He had such a great touch. Such a sweetheart too. Clap

Sometimes I think that the whales are the intelligent life on this planet... we should learn from them.
