The Open Window

The Open Window

Absent-mindedly I entered my room.
It was bathed in bright morning light.
I was alone, yet I sensed the presence
of a powerful, enveloping energy.
I lifted my eyes and caught my breath.
Through the open window your gaze
penetrated me and for a moment
of high speed communication
between my heart and my brain
I perceived the language of Universe
and I comprehended its message,
as I was filled with the vibration
of millions of sparks of love.
With your every single leave
you gently whispered my name,
a multitude of spirit voices joined
our song of deep consciousness.
The sun too came out to play
reflecting your colors on my face.
And though we both stood still
we performed the dance of joy.
You are not just a silent tree,
you are a source of living energy.
Your breath mingled with mine.
Your branches and my arms
intertwined in a tender embrace
making me fly high the whole day.
Open windows have their way
to share gifts of divine grace.
