Is it necessary to join yoga classes for better results or we can do on our own.
Yes.
He he..
Welcome Wilde and Ignac!
OK I'll venture to answer your question W4.. A good teacher is best, and supportive yoga classmates. Medium quality teacher and classmates is still good, poor teacher and unpleasant classmates maybe not so great?
Since you should always go as far as your particular body wants to go, you need to know how limber your own body is, so it is of course good to do a lot of stretches and yoga postures on your own so that you know what your limits are, and then even when you have a class, do what is just on the edge of comfort for yourself, hopefully your teacher will say the same thing.
A good video is excellent, is that a class or doing it on your own? Therefore good YouTube could be a good teacher. I read a funny book about Cat-Yoga and the postures were so funny, that it inspired me to do more yoga! So there are various things that are better or not so better for your yoga practice.
My latest yoga is: I have a wonderful flat pillow to rest my wrist on while typing and mousing around. Then one day after not-so-much on my computer, only 10 hours or so, my neck was tight on the right side. I switched the pillow and keyboard so that the other hand was mousing, it took a little work to get the familiar shift-control-mouse drag-keep an eye for email-don't fall sitting on my exercise ball-yelling to the lower floor "I'm coming to dinner" all at once, but once I got the hand of it, now both sides of the neck are equally tight!
I hope that helped.
Love and *LIGHT* *BEINGS*,
Teom
